Roof terrace dinner party

My dear friend Lin had asked me a few days ago if she could use our kitchen to cook dinner for a few close friends. It was fine, of course. I didn't know at the time that she was going to invite fifteen people, which was kind of a surprise, but a nice one.
I was out at the beach the whole day, so Lin had picked up the key earlier to let herself in. Her boyfriend Vangelis (from Greece) had been teaching a dance workshop that weekend, so she invited all participants, and also some mutual friends, including Wang Kai, whose birthday happened to be on that same day, his girlfriend Li Ling, and pretty much the whole staff of CEAC, including Ineke Gudmundsson. Also present were three Dutch artists currently in residence at CEAC, and Aaf van Essen, this autumn teaching graphic design at TKK college, the art college of Xiamen University.
Vangelis turned out to be an amazing cook, and he treated us to no less than ten delicious dishes. A lot of wine and beer and fruits where also brought in, so it was a true feast. An excellent first roof terrace dinner party in our new home!
